We recently had a new Velux window installed in our main bathroom by Daylight Doctor, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. Ian was extremely thorough during the survey, taking the time to explain everything clearly and ensuring the best solution for our home. When it came to the installation, Karl and Steve were fantastic — fast, precise, and clearly very experienced in what they do. The quality of the workmanship is excellent, the new Velux has completely transformed the room by bringing in so much natural daylight, and everything was left clean and tidy when the job was finished. We couldn’t be happier with the result and would highly recommend Daylight Doctor to anyone considering a Velux installation. ~ Dan A

Ian is a total professional & was reassured by his knowledge to replace a cracked velux in our kitchen (due to previous owner poor materials/build/installation) Initial appt - arrived on time, great communication; quick to quote & helpful with all ordering questions. I had a 20 year old Velux window that had stopped responding to my remote control and because I was manually opening the the blind I managed to break it! Ian and his team fitted a new blind a solar device to the window and blind to enable remote control for opening and closing. The team of were efficient polite friendly and professional making sure the work was carried out with the minimum of fuss and mess. When they had finished it my room was left pristine. When we moved in there were 4 existing Velux windows in our extension roof but we couldn't open them as they were too high, the windows we're only a couple of years old so we didn't want to pay out to replace the so when Ian visited us he suggested installing solar powered conversion kits which turned the same windows into windows that opened with a remote control. The whole process was completely stress free and everything went exactly as it was explained. We can't recommend this company highly enough. Thank you ~ Wayne B

I wasn't prompted to write this review but feel compelled to share my experience of the Daylight Doctor. We had two mouldy sky lights in our bathroom and I've spent the past year trying to find someone to replace them for me. Each time I've been quoted a week's work and then the various companies have gone awol on me. I was quite surprised when I sent an enquiry to Ian and he replied immediately suggesting that he visited a day or two later. He arrived promptly, was extremely professional and assured us that he could replace our windows for us within a day or two, only weeks later. It felt too good to be true! Steve and Karl arrived on time, promptly covered our floors head to toe with protective film and got to work. Within hours both windows had been replaced and they were gone! I can't believe that other firms had quoted us a week's work, when they were in and out in half a day. What's more they were lovely and really respectful of our house. I'm so grateful to Ian and his team for going above and beyond to solve our skylight predicament in a flash. THANK YOU! ~ Emily T

We ordered 4 solar velux blinds and 4 solar powered window opening controls. From the outset Ian was professional and courteous. He answered all our questions with ease, he obviously knows his products well. Delivery was quick and Steve and Karl, the fitters, were a delight - clean, tidy and very helpful. Great Service from initial call for quote to installation. Ian and his team replaced two old style velux windows with modern updates. Ian explained the installation process fully and saved me money as quoted from other companies that scaffolding would be required. Very pleased with all aspects of the ordering and fitting of our windows, an unexpected cost as the hinges of our old ( non velux) windows failed. Velux themselves very easy to deal with, and Daylight Doctor in Waterlooville also. Ian very helpful and knowledgeable, and Steve and Karl only took a day to install, clean, efficient and tidy.
